Deer Valley Elementary School

Librarian Raquel Sorkin earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northeastern Illinois University.  She then pursued and earned a master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction and a master’s degree in Library Media from the University of West Alabama. Before arriving at Deer Valley Elementary, she taught for 15 years in several grades. Mrs. Sorkin is the proud mother of three children. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and reading.
